All it takes is a look out the window to watch as the famous Wiener Riesenrad (Ferris wheel) spins or to get an idea of the cheerful hustle and bustle at the exposition centre.

Outside BASSENA’s doorstep, Leopoldstadt (Vienna’s second district) is waiting to be explored. A flourishing district – not just because of the extensive lawns and forest areas of the lush green Prater (public park) connected to its namesake, the amusement park. In the second district, everything thrives across the board: Because of its unique mix of market culture, exciting stores, excellent restaurants and trendy bars. For instance, at the Donaukanal (“Danube Canal”) or in the Karmeliterviertel (“Carmelite Quarter”).
